A vicious war has been raging just across the Polish border for nearly a year. The Russian aggressor has been conducting massive airstrikes against key civilian infrastructure, including energy system, in Ukraine. As a result, long-lasting interruptions in electricity supply are becoming more frequent, which has a devastating effect on the work of hospitals, which face serious problems in properly functioning and taking care of patients' health.

To make their situation better, the Ukrainian NGO ECOCLUB together with the Solar Energy Association of Ukraine have launched a project to install solar power plants for six Ukrainian hospitals. Huge funds are needed for this purpose.

For this reason, several organizations from Europe, among them the Forum Energii, have decided to support fundraising for the installation of photovoltaic power plants for the hospital in Sumy. The target of 27,500 Eur was reached in May 2023. However, the collection has not stopped - the next goal is 24,250 Eur for an installation for the hospital in Ovruch. More about this fundraising - and the investments already completed - can be found on the website: https://resforukraine.eu/index.html.

The initiative can be supported by any person or company by donating any amount to the account of the “Pracownia na rzecz Wszystkich Istot Association”, which organizes the fundraising in Poland. The donation can be tax deducted.

All money collected by partners in various countries will be transferred to the account of NGO Ecoclub, which will use it to cover the cost of purchase and installation of a photovoltaic system. The installation will be ordered and delivered by a local company in Ukraine. The campaign will continue until the set amount (27,500 Eur) is collected. If the donated amount is larger - a bigger PV installation will be ordered. The implementation of the project will be documented, and a financial report will be published on https://resforukraine.eu/index.html.

We encourage you to support the fundraising for photovoltaics for Ukrainian hospitals.
