Wrap-up & Conclusion

Christian Hochfeld, Agora Verkehrswende

Starting the Int-E-Grid project, we knew that the challenge of reducing emissions and achieving climate neutrality is a challenge not only for the energy sector, but also for transport, which needs to be looked at together. Major changes require an analysis of the status, prospects and potential for electrification of transport. In the Int-E-Grid project we managed to summarize where we are with the development of electromobility in Poland and Germany and develop a number of recommendations.

During the meeting, project partners Forum Energii, Agora Verkehrswende and Electric Vehicles Promotion Foundation will share the conclusions of the three reports. Among them are those that describe the challenges and opportunities associated with the electrification and decarbonization of transport at urban, national and European levels, including in particular the V4 countries. We will also present a report on the impact of electromobility on the planning and modernization of distribution networks in Poland, and a study that looks at policies and experiences of decarbonizing urban transport in Poland and Germany. All these analyses will be made public in the coming weeks. Wednesday's meeting will be attended by experts representing ministries, local governments, energy sector, electromobility industry, science and civil society from Poland, Germany and other EU countries.

Int-E-Grid is an international project, led jointly by the Forum Energii, the Electric Vehicles Promotion Foundationcles and Agora Verkehrswende, and funded by the European Climate Initiative (EUKI).

Participation in the meeting is by personal invitation. Please register your willingness to participate at klaudia.wojciechowska@forum-energii.eu
